Global Cognitive Sensory Manager

✨ ROLE DESCRIPTION & PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ✨

At L'Oréal R&I, you'll be an integral part of the EVALUATION INTELLIGENCE division, responsible for evaluating all beauty innovations developed by our laboratories, from upstream to downstream.

As a member of the COGNITIVE SENSORY SCIENCES TEAM, you will:

• Develop our scientific expertise.
• Actively participate in capability development.
• Be firmly committed to impacting our organization and scientific field.

Your mission is built around two key pillars:

Pillar 1: Build Capabilities on Multisensory Perception 🧠

• Decode brain integration, emotional & memory effects.
• Track & synthesize research studies and emerging methods.
• Design and run research projects with external academic / startup partners.
• Systematize data collection in collaboration with our Computational Science team.
• Develop innovative methods suitable for our innovation ecosystem.

Pillar 2: Engage Internal R&I Teams & Communicate Externally 📣

• Be a key advisor for innovation teams on multisensory brain integration, emotion & memory.
• Roll out new approaches / methodologies within our innovation process.
• Develop and run communications to spread cognitive science expertise and impact our business through presentations, videos, gaming, webinars, etc.

🌟 PROFIL & REQUIRED COMPETENCIES 🌟

• Passionate about human being understanding and innovation.
• Master/PhD degree in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience.
• 5-to-10 years of experience in cognitive science in industry and/or in academia.
• Strong appetite and expertise for research and method development.
• French & English: read, written, spoken.
• Curiosity & open-mindedness.
• Team Player.
• Pro-active.
• Ability to challenge practices.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong scientific track record.
